Today students ranked their choices for their biography project. This afternoon I matched their preferences with reading levels and book availability. We also spent a little time doing a smattering of starters. We hadn’t had a chance to spend a lot of time on starters in the last week or two, so we spent some time giving our brains a good work out. I’m always amazed as I listen to them answer these questions – it’s fun to see how their brains work.

Students also had Spanish today where they practiced for their production and wrote summaries of a story they read in Spanish. Dr. Atkins also spoke with the fifth graders today to tell them that they Walker is planning to offer Spanish I (previously offered at Buford) next year.
